Day 14: Box Swap Item #4 Soap & Glory Endless Glove

When I opened this product from my box swap I did with Stephanie Wright (Effie) from the UK last month, I was presently surprised to receive a Soap & Glory product. It made me smile because Effie thought of me and how terrible my hands have been this season. I work at a hospital so therefore I wash my hands a lot! I work 12 hour shifts so I get long stretches off. My hands would heal and then once I went back to work they would get red and extremely rashy. It has been terrible! It makes me smile because she remembered our little conversation. I did go to the doctor for this and she first prescribed me a steroid ointment. Well, I didn’t want to be on a steroid cream for long term. I used it for awhile, but I felt like it didn’t really help. I just felt like a greasy mess. So I decided to go back to see my doctor and asked for a different alternative besides a steroid cream. She found one for me, but when I went to the pharmacy it was almost $400 US dollars! My jaw dropped and the pharmacist said that it was a brand new cream on the market and yes super expensive. I decided that I had to find an alternative way.

I’ve heard a lot about Soap & Glory. A few of my followers told me that I needed to try this brand! Recently, the Sephora that I go to started getting some Soap & Glory products in, but I have never seen this particular product. So good job Effie!!! 🙂 Also, I was very curious on if I would find this when I recently went to Mall of America’s Sephora. I found a bunch of Soap & Glory products, but this particular product was MIA.

Endless Glove is a moisture mask and hand cream.

This hand cream is a perfect size for putting it into the purse, placing it on the nightstand, etc. Although, I don’t recommend placing it on the night stand if you own one of these!

She loves to steal stuff off my nightstands!

Okay, now that I swerved from the point of this post, let me get back to ENDLESS GLOVE!

Sorry for the poor picture quality! :/

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Isononyl Isononanoate, Cetyl Alcohol, Urea, Phenoxyethanol, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Disodium EDTA, Parfum (Fragrance), Oleic/Linoleic/Linolenic Polyglycerides, Methylparaben, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit/Leaf Extract, Propylparaben, Sodium Cetearyl Sulfate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Allantoin, Dipropylene Glycol, Limonene, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Sodium Hydroxide, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Coumarin, CI 19140 (Yellow 5), CI 15985 (Yellow 6), CI 14700 (Red 4) According to Soap & Glory’s website (link above in description).

Most of these I have no idea what they are, but these ingredients are in most hand creams. There is alcohol type ingredients which tends to dry hands out, but in moderation it is okay. Also, I spot Propylparaben which is a paraben. I don’t know much about parabens, except that there is a big debate on weather they’re ok to use or not. There are more and more products coming out that are paraben free. Even Lush lotions aren’t paraben free and they strive on being natural. Like I said, I don’t know much about parabens, but hope to learn more.

Use
I keep this hand cream in a basket on my nightstand, along with my remotes, etc. Mirya usually doesn’t dig in the basket so I’m safe! I don’t take it to work because I use unscented products at work due to the no-fragrance policy. Although, I would love to bring this to work and see if it helps while actually at work.

Scent
I have a hard time distinguishing this scent of this hand cream. I am also terrible at describing scents. I would describe this scent as mixture of floral and fruity. I do like the scent, but it sure isn’t my favorite. I think that it is a very girly scent.

Formula & Color
This formula is very silky and smooth. The cream has a semi-thick consistency that is yellowish-white in color.

Overview
The first few times I applied this hand cream, it felt amazing. My hands felt so silky, smooth, and just amazing! The following times I applied it, I didn’t have quite the amazing feel that I originally had felt. I think that it was because the day after I received my package, I went back to work for stretch on after my long stretch off. Of course, my hands got super dry. Don’t get me wrong I still really do like this product, but I just feel like I need to pair it with something more moisturizing for my hands to get their full benefit. This product is more of like putting on a glove or making a barrier for protection, hence the name. I just feel like I need more deeper moisturizing so that is why I would rather pair this with something else.  I don’t think it lasts nowhere near the claim of 12 hours. But, I don’t know many creams that do last a full 12 hours. Overall, I really enjoyed trying this hand cream and love the silky feel it gives them.

Once again, Effie, thank you for my first Soap & Glory product!
