Monthly Beauty Favorites: March 2015

This year has seriously been flying by, but that just means that here in Minnesota we’re closer to warmer weather! I can’t wait to wear summer dresses and sandals! A few weekends back I ditched my winter jacket because it was 60 degrees out! People were jacket-less and grilling in the middle of March. That was a weird feeling, but that is Minnesota for you. This month I found some new beauty loves and some re-discoveries! With that, I hope you enjoy my March monthly favorites!

1) Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette

IMG_20150328_124513[1]

This month I have been loving this matte palette from Tarte. This is a very wearable neutral all matte palette. It has 12 shades included; a row of cool tones, a row of warm tones, and a row of purple tones. I am quite surprised with how smooth and blend-able these shadows are. They’re very versatile shades as well. Not only do I like to use this palette alone, I also love pairing it with the Makeup Geek foiled eye-shadows; if I want to add a metallic finish to the matte look.

2) Brilliant & Spellbinding Eyeshadow Palette

IMG_20150328_124439[1]

I have had this palette for a little while now, but one day while doing my makeup I was in search of a coral shade. Be hold the amazing Brilliant and Spellbinding palette by Sigma Beauty. I also really love the yellow shade as well. This palette is very “Spring” feeling in my opinion with the pink, yellow, and coral shades. I really love the Sigma Beauty eyeshadow formula in these palettes. They’re very pigmented, blend-able, and smooth. They have four palettes like these all together. I am thinking about de-potting all 4 of these palettes into a z-palette.

3) Urban Decay 24/7 glide-On Eye Pencil in Scorch

IMG_20150328_124611[1]

During my last trip to the cities I was looking for a bronze-brown eyeliner shade and ending up finding the shade Scorch. I have been using this shade quite a bit lately. It is a gorgeous shade that works well with neutral looks. I love the Urban Decay’s eyeliner formula and find it to be the best out of any that I have tried. I love how creamy and easy to apply they are.

4) Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Iced Mocha

IMG_20150328_124631[1]

I really love my Nyx Jumbo pencils! They work really well as a base. I never use them on their own, but they could be if you wanted to. The shade Iced Mocha is a gorgeous shade and works well underneath any neutral look. I feel like these jumbo pencils help my eyeshadow last longer during the day. I still use Urban Decay’s original eyeshadow primer underneath.

5) Lush Cosmetics Honey Trap Lip Balm

IMG_20150328_124544[1]

Recently I re-discovered this lip balm. I had it before and ended up losing it, so when I was at Mall of America’s Lush store I decided to replace it. This stuff is super moisturizing and smells like honey. ūüėÄ I always use it before I go to bed and it keeps my lips moisturized and smooth. It is also made out of natural ingredients which is always a plus.

That concludes this month’s monthly favorites! What have you been loving this month? Have you tried any of these products? Comment and let me know!

Beauty of Beauty 2014: Part 3 Lips, Brushes, Nails, and Body Butters

Here is part 3 of my Best of Beauty and it includes a lot of goodies such as: lipsticks, lipglosses, lip balms, nail polishes, and much more!

LIPS

Lipstick

Lush Fresh Handmade Colour Lipstick in Perspective

wpid-wp-1423772266442.jpeg

I tend to not wear much lipsticks, because I am more of a lip-gloss junkie. But, I still wanted to include my favorite for this year! I also don’t go for bold lips which is why I went with a dusky rose shade.¬†This is a very wear-able shade for me. The lipstick is very pigmented and very creamy. You can check out my review on it here.

Lip-Glosses & Lip Tints

image

The Balm Read my Lips Lip Gloss in the shade Zaap!

I love this lipgloss! It’s creamy and pigmented! It is not sticky which is a big pro for me! It also smells amazing too! I love the shade Zaap as it gives color to the lips, but it is still wearable. It is also buildable so you can have it as sheer as you want or more opaque. I posted an Instagram picture below of me wearing the lip-gloss.

bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lip Gloss in Hypnotist

This lip-gloss is a very unique shade because it is a holographic violet peach. It looks pretty amazing in the tube, but on the lips it is more natural looking. It does give the lips a gorgeous shimmery look. I love the feel of this gloss on the lips because it is creamy and smooth. There is no stickiness!

Pacifica Lip Quench Lip Tint in Guava Berry

image

This lip tint it an everyday product for me! This is a holy-grail lip product for me as well! I love that it is natural and cruelty free! These come in quite a few different colors and shades, but my favorite is Guava Berry. These give such a gorgeous natural tint to the lips. I did a full review on these and you can check that out here.

Lip Balms

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15

I always get super dry lips during the winter months. I am able to find a lot of moisturizing lip products, but a lot of them don’t last long. Well, I have good news for this product! This is not only moisturizing, but it lasts a long time on the lips. I feel like it actually helps the lips as well and makes them more softer instead of masking the dry lips like other products. I have the non-tinted one, but they do have quite a range of shades. The 2 things that I am not a fan about is that it get used up pretty fast and the price tag!

Glo-Minerals The Cherry Balm SPF 15 Moisture Treatment

When I use this lip balm, people think it is a glue stick or something, because of the size of this thing. But, I promise this product is amazing! What is not to love? It smells like Cherry! Yum! It also is super moisturizing and it lasts on the lips for a long time as well! Glo Minerals is also a more natural brand so they try to stay away from those icky ingredients!

Both of these lip balms have been helping my lips survive winter!

NAILS

Sally Hanson Miracle Gel Nail Polish
image

I have found something that lasts on my fingernails for longer than 1 day! Alleluia! It doesn’t last as long as it promises, but I can get about 5 days to a week without it chipping. In reality that isn’t that great, but Julep, Essie, OPI, Formula X and all the other famous polishes chip honestly in less than 24 hours on my nails! This polish doesn’t need a lamp light, but it cures by natural light. It is a 2 step process: the polish and then the top coat. Easy as cake! I also love the brush! It is wider and coats the nails in only a few strokes! I have gotten quite a few polishes from the collection as you can see above!

Jamberry Nails!
image

I accumulated quite the Jamberry nails over this year because #1 2014 was the year of learning about Jamberry nails and what they are, #2 I got invited to a million parties, #3 I had my own party. Jamberry nails are vinyl nail wraps applied with heat for those of who you haven’t heard of them. They take awhile to apply, ¬†but once they’re applied, no waiting for nail polish to dry! ūüôā They also have an amazing array of designs and colors. They don’t chip! They last a long time as well!

BRUSHES & BRUSH CLEANER
Sigma Brushes & Glo-Minerals Brush Cleaner

image

image

I love my Sigma brushes! My two favorites brushes of this year include the E71 and the E45. I always have a harder time with blending shadows in the crease and I love both these brushes for just that. They have both helped my makeup application quite a bit. The E45 is a smaller blending brush which I feel is a good size for my eye area. The E71 has a different shape, but I love to add the crease shade to my crease using this brush. I love using the Glo-Minerals brush cleaner for a quick clean. All you need is this spray and a kleenex or paper towel. It only takes 1-2 sprays and it disinfects the brush and removes the makeup off of the brush as well. I recently got a brush cleaner from Blvd Cosmetics that I have been using for a more intense clean. My first impression of that brush cleaner was two thumps up.

PERFUME

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream and Honey

image

I love the Marc Jacobs packaging for his perfumes, but they’re so expensive! So instead I got some rollerballs of his. I got Daisy Dream and Honey. I love both of them! Daisy Dream is more of a clean scent and Honey is more of a fruity scent. I just think that they both really smell amazing! They also last pretty long compared to my other perfumes I own.

SKINCARE

The Body Shop Body Butters
image

I started using The Body Shop in 2014 and I am glad I did because I love their body butters. My skin is very dry, especially during Winter. I can’t just use a lotion, I need a body butter during those months. The Body Shop has an amazing array of scent choices to pick from. They always come out with new scents and limited edition scents here and there. My favorite has to be the raspberry one, but I can only find that one online right now. I also really like the new Argan Oil one. That one has a more subtle scent. The strawberry one is divine as well. I am using the apple limited edition one from this past Christmas right now and love it! You get the point, The Body Shop has a ton of scents to choose from. I love how moisturizing these body butters are and they keep my skin moisturized for a long time!

That concludes my post for the Best of Beauty for 2014. Make sure to check out my 2 previous posts to find out what other goodies I loved during 2014. Comment and let me know if you have tried any of these products! Once again, sorry that this post is so late! Hope you all are having a wonderful beginning of 2015!

Lush Liquid Lipstick Review: Perspective

When I went to Mall of America’s Lush store, I decided to check out their makeup line. Since Lush prices are high, I only walked out with 1 thing from their makeup line, although I would have liked to try some more as well.¬†Once I decided that I was going to get a liquid lipstick, I swatched most of the shades in store.¬†I decided on the shade Perspective, which is a dusky rose. I find it to be a gorgeous shade!

IMG_20140723_183101388

What Lush says about Perspective, “This natural, dusky rose lipstick is perfect for everyday use and looks beautiful on a variety of skin tones. The rose wax and jojoba oil base ensure the lipstick goes on smooth and keeps lips hydrated all day long. We’ve heard fans calling this their all-in-one, as this creamy lipstick can also be used as a blush for a rosy glow. Wear Perspective when you need a new way of regarding a problem or situation; now you can see clearly.” More information found¬†here.¬†

Lush Cosmetics is all about making fresh products with fresh ingredients. That is something that I love about the company. Since their products are fresh, they leave a lot of preservatives out of it. With that being said, their products expire faster. Although, they do still have to add some otherwise it would need to be put into a refrigerator. This product is vegan. I also love that they stand against animal testing! That is a big pro for the animal lover in me.

IMG_20140723_184754066

Ingredients (Information also found in link above)

Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis), Candelilla Wax (Euphorbia cerifera), Rose Wax (Rosa damascena), Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Iron Oxides, D&C Red No. 27 Aluminium Lake, Titanium Dioxide

IMG_20140723_184744049

Packaging

The packaging is a lot different than any other products like this that I have tried. Although, I honestly haven’t tried that many liquid lipsticks. I think that the packaging is easy to use. The applicator is a dofa applicator so application is pretty easy. There is no chance of spilling with how they produced the package as well.

Swatches & on the Lips

I really fell in love with this shade when I swatched it in store because it is a natural wearable rosey pink. I am not big on bold lips so I think this shade is perfect for me.

IMG_20140723_183201861

Here are some pictures of me wearing the shade. Also, in case you’re wondering what is on my eyes, it is the one and only Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay. Love that palette!

IMG_20140723_183826243

Here is another picture with the lipstick and I am also sporting my new sunglasses!

IMG_20140726_121023

Formula

The formula is really pigmented and creamy. The consistency is hard to describe because it feels a little grainy or gritty when rubbing the lips together right after application. I actually think that it feels nice. It is very hard to describe. I recommend going into a Lush and trying it out for yourself. It does have an average wear time, so nothing too special. Of course, it does need to be reapplied after eating. I feel like when lipsticks last all day, they most likely have nasty ingredients in them. How else would they last that long?

Pros

  • Non-sticky
  • Fragrance free
  • Pigmented
  • Handmade
  • Natural shade
  • Creamy
  • Easy to apply

Cons

  • Price
  • May not be visible on all lip shades
  • Average wear time

Overall, I think that it was fun to try a Lush liquid lipstick. It is good to think that it is more natural than a lot of other lip products out on the market. Just think about it…I wonder how much lipstick or lip product a person ingests throughout their lifetime? Might as well be more natural…right?!? I do think that I would repurchase it again once I use it up. Although, I think it might take me awhile because I don’t wear it everyday. I have a year before it expires. *Goes and applies it to lips*

June 2014 Favorites!

IMG_20140701_144147546

I can’t believe June is already over! Now that it is July, that means more than half of 2014 is over. Wow, life goes fast! That is why we should embrace each and every day! ūüôā It is now time for my monthly favorites! I had a lot of new found loves and some re-experienced loves this month.

SKINCARE & MAKEUP

1) Glo-Minerals The Cherry Balm

IMG_20140701_144542575

My mom won this cherry chapstick at the Glo Minerals makeup presentation/class that my local salon put on. Lucky her! Since she loves it so much, I decided to pick one up for myself. I love love love love this stuff! It feels amazing on the lips. It smells like amazing cherries! It has helped my super dry lips quite a bit. This may be well on its way to becoming a holy grail! It is also natural and cruelty free! It is also quite a large tube compared to other chapsticks at 0.65 oz. Also, it is nice that it has SPF in it, especially during the summer months.

2) Naked 3

IMG_20140701_144442603

I used this palette quite a bit this month because it went with a lot of my outfits. I just kept reaching for it over and over. This palette was in my monthly favorites a couple months back and it is back for another monthly favorites! I just love the colors. One of my favorite shades is Buzz which is the 5th shade in.

3) Color Tattoos by Maybelline in Sunwashed Sky and Shimmering Sea

IMG_20140701_144315014

These 2 color tattoos are my first and only color tattoos that I own. I saw them at Walgreen’s when I was shopping for my box swap. I picked the Shimmering Sea one up for her as well. I just think that the shades are very unique, especially the Shimmering Sea one. It is a greenish-gold shade. I think that it looks amazing under a neutral eye look and it helps give it a different look in the end. The Sunwashed Sky shade is gorgeous as well and more of a blue-purplish shade. Although, I would have to say the Shimmering Sea shade is my favorite out of the two.

4) Almond Hand & Nail Cream from The Body Shop

IMG_20140701_144424410

I got this in my most recent haul from The Body Shop at the Mall of America. The Body Shop is very new to me, so I thought that I would try this cream out. So far I am loving it. The scent is nice and subtle. The formula is moisturizing. It is not greasy at all which is a big pro! Overall, I am quite impressed!

5) Glo Minerals Brush Cleaner

IMG_20140701_144608097

I’ll be honest and tell you that I absolutely hate washing my makeup brushes! It is probably the most annoying and time consuming thing about makeup. I got this at my makeup presentation and I am glad I did. It is really nice to be able to quickly clean my makeup brushes. I still do a deep cleaning with soap and water, but I feel better now that I have included this in the health of my brushes. It does seem to clean them really well and it sanitizes the brushes as well because of the alcohol content in it.

6) No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara

IMG_20140701_144500490

Target recently started carrying some Boots products and I decided to try out¬†this No7¬†mascara. My eyelashes are straight and don’t like to curl. The wand does have a nice curve to it and surprisingly it does help them curl. It doesn’t necessarily stay curled all day, but I have not met a mascara that keeps my lashes curled all day. Something I love about this mascara is that my lashes feel like lashes and feel soft with it applied compared to it being hard and icky feeling.

FASHION

1) My yellow dress
This is the yellow dress that I wore to my friend’s wedding! I got it from JcPenney and I just think that it is a perfect summer dress.

IMG_20140620_162411034_HDR

2) My 1960s outfit!
I was part of a collaboration, “Makeup Through the Ages.” I did my makeup look and fashion look for the 1960s. This was definately a monthly favorite because I had a lot of fun with this collaboration! If you haven’t checked out our¬†collaboration, then I recommend that you do!

LIFESTYLE FAVORITES

IMG_20140703_184326947

1) Maleficent

I am a huge Disney fan! With that being said, I was super excited to see this movie! I thought that it was amazing and I also thought that Angelina Jolie was PERFECT for this role. I have a lot more respect for her after this role as an actress. I just loved the different take on the popular story compared to the usual Disney’s Sleeping Beauty story. Also, Maleficent had some amazing cheek bones in this movie. I know Angelina Jolie had to spend numerous hours in the makeup chair, but coming from¬†a makeup enthusiast’s¬†stand point: it was pretty amazing!

2) The Fault In Our Stars Movie and Book

Both the book and the movie are in my monthly favorites this month! I read a part of the book and then I saw the movie, then I finished the book. It is such a sad story, but very moving. I saw the movie twice in theaters (once with a friend and the other with my mum) and I cried both times. I knew a classmate from high school that died of cancer and it made me think a lot of him. He was way too young to die. Sometimes life is hard to understand why certain things happen to certain people, but nobody said life was easy.

3) Candy!
Yes, I had to include this because I have been enjoying my candy from Jacquelyn from The Little Scottish Corner! I would have to say my favorite is the Percy Pigs. There is just something about them that I love! I wish we had them in the USA, but that it okay because it is a nice little treat. My box of candy is shown in the photo above.

4) Banana Boat Soothing Aloe After Sun
I got sunburned this month.  So using this feels very nice on my sunburned skin. I do like using the gel over the lotion because I think that it is more beneficial.

5) Walking the dogs!
It was nice to be able to walk the dogs this month! Finally we had some nice weather! Mirya and Maddie are both fans of going on walks.

IMG_20140615_201912071

6) Feeding the ducks with my nieces!
I had a lot of fun going to the park and feeding the ducks! They had a lot of fun too!

IMG_20140628_140229627IMG_20140628_135017204

7) The Lego Movie
Having only brothers growing up, I saw quite a bit of Legos. So when the Lego Movie came out, I, of course wanted to see it. It brings back a lot of good childhood memories! Of course the theme song, “Everything is Awesome” gets stuck in my head everytime I see this movie.

8) Chasing Life
This is a new show that I started watching on ABC Family! So far I am loving it! It is about a 24 year old reporter who ends up getting cancer. It is only a few episodes in, but so far it has been really good. Instead of explaining it, just watch the preview that I posted below!

That concludes this monthly favorites post! Comment and let me know if you have tried any of these products or seen any of the movies/shows that I mentioned! Comment down below and let me know! I love hearing from you all!

Day 25: Pacifica Color Quench Lip Tint Review

IMG_1390

When I was browsing through the more natural section at Target, I came across a brand named Pacifica. I saw they had a variety of beauty products, but the color quench lip tints were catching my eye. I didn’t pick one up right away, but after a few different times at Target, I decided to take the leap. Since then, I have bought the whole line of the lip tints. Ulta got me there with the, buy 1 get 1 50% off! I also sent one in my transatlantic box swap, and I have one included in my giveaway that is going on right now! If you haven’t entered my giveaway yet, make sure to do that! It ends the last day of this month!¬†

Pacifica is a beauty brand that offers many products such as: makeup, skincare, nail polish, perfume, and even candles. It was started by a lady named Brook Harvey Taylor.  You can find more information on the brand here.

I really like Pacifica’s morals! They strive on being natural! Their products are 100% vegan, cruelty free, and paraben free. That is hard to come by in most beauty brands. ¬†I mean even Lush Cosmetics uses parabens in their products! They also work as a company to help the environment. On the back of each lip tint box it says that a “portion of proceeds support clean water.” These products were also made in the USA.

What Pacifica says about their lip tints,Give your lips the love they deserve! All Natural Color Quench lip tints packs major lip moisture, nourishing naturals and gorgeous, sheer lip color into one perfectly portable, 100% recyclable tube. Essential fatty acids from rich and amazing avocado and coconut oils leave lips luscious and healthy. Natural flavor and 5 perfect shades produce the prettiest, most kissable mouth ever. 100% vegan and gluten free. Your lips will love you back!” More information found here.¬†

Packaging

I think that Pacifica’s packaging is gorgeous! I just love the details that they put into the outer-boxes and the tubes themselves. The lip tints come in an array of colors and the shades match the outer packaging¬†as well.

Each tube of lip tint contains 0.15 oz or 4.25 G.

IMG_20140424_161510010_HDR

Ingredients (as found on their website)

cocos nucifera (coconut) oil [emollient/ moisturizer], glycine soja (soy) wax [emollient/ mositurizer], euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax [emollient/ mositurizer], theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter [emollient/ mositurizer], persea gratissima (avocado) oil [emollient/ mositurizer], natural flavor [flavor], vitamin E [emollient/ mositurizer], rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract [beneficial].  May contain [colorants]: mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides.  100% vegan. Gluten-free.

Shades/Colors (Pacifica’s description in italics and from their website)

This line has 5 different shades/scents.

IMG_20140424_161308248

1) Coconut Nectar Shimmery Golden Raisin

This is probably my least favorite of the 5, only because I’m not the biggest fan of coconut. It is a nice neutral shade and it is very creamy. The shade is shimmery and very wearable. When applying it to the lips, it feels a little rough due to the shimmery particles, but once applied, it feels amazingly smooth on the lips.

2) Vanilla hibiscus Pale Pink with a Touch of Pearl

This light pink shade is perfect for everyday use. It is the most sheerest of the 5. I really do like the scent. It smells like fresh vanilla with a hint of hibiscus. The formula is also very creamy and feels amazing on the lips.

3) Guava Berry Quintessential Berry Stain

This is actually my first lip tint that I got and it remains to be my favorite as well. I just love the berry tint that is gives my lips. The formula is amazing! It applies to the lips like butter. The scent is also amazing! This lip tint was the reason that I wanted to try the others out. This is also the color that I sent in my box swap and the color that will be available in my giveaway.

4) Sugared Fig Rich Plummy Fig with a Hint of Sexy Sparkle

I really like this shade as well. The scent is nice and sweet. The formula is very creamy. It applies to the lips very smoothly. The shade is a little darker than the others, but still very wearable.

5) Blood Orange Sweet Coral with a Pop of Pink

This is my second favorite of the 5, just because I love the scent so much. I also love the color it gives my lips. The formula is once again amazing.

Are you surprised that I have another Mirya picture showing up in a makeup post? Lol!  I always feel so weird taking pictures of myself, so I always add Mirya in. Make sure to check out her post from yesterday to see some updated pictures of her! I may be biased, but she is dang cute!

Overall, these lip tints will be a staple in my collection! I am very very very intrigued to try more Pacifica products! ¬†I always have guava berry in my purse. ¬†I’m not big on bold lips and I don’t tend to wear lipstick that often. With that being said, I feel like these colors are perfect for the type of lip look that I want from day to day. They’re more of a natural lip look, which is something that I really like about this line. They’re easy to grab and apply whenever in a hurry!¬†Some of the shades are hard to find at my Target, but usually they can be found at any Ulta. They’re super moisturizing and make the lips feel amazing. The longevity is amazing as well. I will recommend this product to anyone over and over.

Comment and let me know if you have tried these products or if you have tried any other Pacifica products! Hope you enjoyed this post! I love hearing from you!

Day 21: What I would buy if I had $500-$1000 to spend on beauty products…

I saw this post idea from Jacquelyn from The Little Scottish Corner and I decided that I would do this post too! She said that she would love for others to do this post as well, so here it goes! This probably isn’t helping my no buy, but I still wanted to share this post with you! If you haven’t checked out her blog make sure to do so. You can check it out here. Maybe someday I would win a shopping spree from Sephora or Ulta. Lol, big dreaming!

1) Alex Drawer Unity with 9 drawers from IKEA $119.00

I hate disorganization! I hate how I have my makeup stored now! This lovely beauty is very popular among the Youtubers and makeup enthusiasts. I would just love to have all my items stored in one space. I would use this for more than just makeup such as: nail polishes, skincare (Lush bath bombs), hair accessories, and much more. I’ve never been to an IKEA before. My brother and sister in law love IKEA and if they decide to go to the cities and ask me to go with, I WILL be picking this up. ¬†Monica Geller from Friends would be so proud of this!

2) Urban Decay Electric Palette $49.99

This palette just has a lot of fun colors! I’ve seen the swatches of the colors and they look amazing! It is definitely not an everyday palette, but it would be a fun one to have. This palette would be perfect for those pop of color looks.

3) Meet Matt(e) Nude by The Balm $42

The Balm is one of my favorite brands. I do have a few The Balm palettes, but I actually don’t have this one. I got this palette during a 50% sale that they were having and I sent this palette to the UK for my box swap! I felt like Stephanie (Effie) really needed to try out this brand.

4) The Balm Powder to the People Brush in Crease, Love, & Happiness $24.50

I love this brush! I used to have this brush, but sadly Mirya got a hold of it! This is a reason why the IKEA drawer would be nice! I love the crease brush because it fits perfectly into my crease.

5) INSTAIN Long Wearing Powder Staining Blush by The Balm $22.00

I got a sample of this blush in a different color  in a Birchbox.  I was very impressed with the pigmentation and longevity. I really like the color that I posted down below called Argyle.

6) Ambient Lighting Palette by Hourglass from Sephora $58.00

I have heard so much about these powders! They have so many great reviews, but the price tag sure is large. It is cool that they came out with this combo palette.

7) Ambient Lighting Blush $35.00

I did see these at Sephora when I was at Mall of America. They felt amazing when I swatched them. I just couldn’t get over the price tag. But, that is Hourglass. I would have to re-swatch all the colors and decide which one I would get, but right now I am loving the look of Ethereal Glow with is a cool pink (shown in the photo below). Apparently these blushes are blended together with the powders described above making for a flawless face.

8) Deconstructed Rose Lip Gloss Library by Bite Beauty $49.00

I really want to try something from Bite Beauty. Apparently this brand is all natural and made with food grade ingredients. They do this because apparently overtime we consume quite a bit of lip products! Coffee Break with Dani on YouTube just did a Bite Beauty haul and all the things she got were gorgeous!

9) Luminous Creme Lipstick by Bite Beauty $24.00

I of course would love to try their lipsticks as well. I’m not sure on what color yet, but most likely neutral or pink. I would have to re-watch that video from Coffee Break with Dani because there was a color that she got that I absolutely loved. The color I posted below is Ballet Pink and I think it looks gorgeous!

10) Glamglow THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment $69.00

These masks are super expensive, but receive a lot awesome reviews! I would get the hydrating treatment because I have dry skin. Although, I probably will never ever buy this because of the price tag, but it is still fun to look.

11) Sigma Beauty The Perfect Blend Kit $63.00

I would love to try this brush kit because I want blending brushes to make for easier application. I really love Sigma brushes so I would love to try this set.

12) Return of Sexy palette by Too Faced $49.99

This palette looks gorgeous! My sister in law just got this palette and she loves it! It has a lot of nice colors included. It also includes a eyeliner and a shadow insurance.

13) Makeup Geek Eyeshadows $5.99 each

I have heard so many amazing things about Makeup Geek shadows. A ton of people said that I need to try these shadows including an old roommate. I really want to try them and see what all the hype is about. They seem to be really affordable with being $5.99 each. There is an amazing range of colors! I am in love with this mermaid color. I posted a few more colors that I thought looked amazing! Photos found here.

¬†14) Lime Crime Fantasy Palette in Palette D’Antoninette $35.00

I have heard many amazing things about Lime Crime! I especially love the look of this palette. I love the bright pastel colors.

15) i-Divine Palettes by Sleek Makeup $11.99 each

I was really impressed with the Sleek palette that I got in my box swap. I of course lusted over the other palettes after I was so impressed with the Storm palette. Make sure to check out my review on that palette if you haven’t already. Pictures found on their website here. Pretty much all their palettes are amazing, but here are a few of my favorites!

Garden of Eden

i-Candy

Del Mar

Well I decided that I am going to stop at #15. I guess I’m not exactly sure what my total is, but I know that is is close. Obviously, I would never get all of this, but it was sure fun to share all the amazing products out there! Comment and let me know if you have tried any of these products!

I hope everybody had an amazing Easter! I worked during the weekend so I plan on getting together with my family next weekend for a Easter/April birthdays combo celebration!

Day 11: April 2014 Beauty Box 5 Shades of Beauty

IMG_1740

Time for another Beauty Box 5! This little turquoise box showed up in my mailbox on Wednesday and I of course couldn’t wait to rip into it. If you don’t know what BB5 is, it is a $12 a month subscription box that sends 5 samples of makeup, skincare, or any beauty type product. I have had 2 really bad boxes (my first 2) with tons of misses from¬†BB5. I have been tempted to cancel, although I really did like last month’s box. With that, I had higher hopes for this box. I was thinking that it would be makeup based, since last month was mostly skincare. You can find more information on their box here.

Monthly Theme

This month’s theme is Shades of Beauty. It talks about taking time for yourself by enjoying your mornings and doing a little leisurely layering.

A Little Social Networking….

IMG_1743

My Description Card

I really like that BB5 includes this description card. That has always been something that I haven’t liked about Ipsy.

IMG_1742

My 5 Items

1) Bh Cosmetics California Collection Eyeshadow Palette Retail: $18.95 16 Eyeshadows/4 Face Powders
I was really¬†disappointed¬†with receiving this product. Nothing against BB5 or Bh Cosmetics with sending this out, but I already received this exact trio in an previous Ipsy bag. I do have a full sized San Francisco palette from this collection and honestly I hardly ever grab for that palette. I even featured it on my Perfect Palette Tag with it being the Biggest Regret. If you’re interested in seeing some of my palette collection you can check that tag out here. Now, I don’t want you thinking I’m hating on Bh Cosmetics because I do have some of their palettes that I love such as: Galaxy Chic and Take Me to Brazil. You can find my Galaxy Chic review¬†here. Bh Cosmetics has nice affordable makeup products and I think they’re stepping up their game with their newer palettes, especially with packaging. Also, with their pricing, I have never seen a Bh Cosmetic palette full price. They always have sales. The San Francisco palette had the best colors out of the 3 whole sized choices in my opinion, with San Francisco being the most¬†wearable.¬†I would say the others are more for night out wear.¬†I do like the colors that they decided to include in this little trio palette. I would take a picture of¬†mine, but I¬†don’t want to open this one and I’m not sure where mine from my Ipsy bag is at the moment.¬†I might actually include this in my Giveaway as a little extra. Comment down below if you would like me to include this.

2) Nicka K New York Hydro Lipstick Retail: $4.99 for 0.12 oz
I am not a person that does bold lips very often, so this product was a little disappointing, yet really fun at the same time. I tend to wear more lip tints and lip glosses than lipsticks, but I am always up for trying new products. I really like that this lipstick is paraben free. I applied this lipstick and at first it was very bold, but as it wore off I liked the color even better. I can’t tell you much for longevity because I tested the color out a hour or so before bed and I ended up wiping it off when I washed all my makeup off. I can tell you that it applied nicely and wasn’t patchy at all.

3) Blum Naturals All Purpose Cleansing Wipes Retail: $2.49 for 30 wipes
Once again, I think of the post that Stephanie Wright wrote about makeup wipes and hoped these didn’t¬†have that icky chemical that she speaks of. Every time I think of makeup wipes I think of that post. Good news Effie there isn’t that chemical:¬†phenoxyethanol. But, it does have Ethyl Alcohol in it. In case you’re interested her post is here. My first thought when I opened these wipes is that they’re very thin and cheap looking. I wasn’t impressed. They do smell good so that is a plus, but still can you see how thin that wipe is??? I used it to wipe off my lipstick swatch and it performed pretty well, but I’m just not big on makeup wipes. They’re also made in China. I do like them when wiping off my swatches off my arm, but that is about it. It is definitely travel friendly and even comes with a clip. Also, these wipes don’t seem to separate from each other meaning that when I would pull a wipe out, they would just keep coming. I ended up having to take the red top off and push some of the wipes back into the container.

PicMonkey Collage 2

4) Jergens Natural Glow 3 Days to Glow Moisturizer Retail: $9.99 4 oz.

I don’t know how I feel about this product because I’m not a fan of these type of self-tanners. But, I will still have to try this out. I got my sample for medium to tan skin tones. I feel like there isn’t much product included to get the whole body evenly. But, once again I’ve never used this type of product. There are 3 packets, 1 for each of the 3 days. I also feel like this color might be a little too dark for me, I am more of a light to medium skin tone.¬†I just think it would look unnatural looking to use that shade.¬†But, oh well! Comment and let me know if you have tried this product or have tried any other self tanners.

IMG_1749

 5) Bonne Bell Lip Definer Retail: $3.95 One Size
Once again, this product¬†disappoints me. I don’t use lip liners ever.¬†I got the color luscious lilac.¬†I also felt like when I swatch this on my arm it was hard to get a nice color. If I would use lip liners, I would rather have a more creamy one. The color is pretty so I give it that. I remember getting lip smackers from this brand as a young girl.

IMG_1755

IMG_1759

Overall, I thought this BB5 was a big¬†disappointment this month. I liked that it was makeup based, but not 1 of the products included got me excited. These products are all forgetful in my mind. If I didn’t already have that little trio from Bh Cosmetics, I might be a little excited over that. The lipstick is probably my favorite product I got this month. All in all,¬†I’m debating on if I want to cancel my Beauty Box 5. I think I will give them 1 more month, if next month’s isn’t better they will chopped off the chopping block. They may have the same fate as which Birchbox had in my life. Here is to hoping my Ipsy Glam bag is more exciting. I just looked at my Glam Room a few minutes ago (which I usually don’t do) and I didn’t get the Benefit Lollitint sample! Of course not! I never get the products that I really want from Ipsy. I will be doing a post once my Ipsy bag comes. Comment and let me know what you thought of these products? Did you think your BB5 was a disappointment or did you like the products included?

Day 3: Miranda’s Tangerine Lip Balm Review

So with it being Winter/almost Spring out (or supposed to be Spring out?), my lips get dry, especially during working at a hospital. I would go insane without a trusty lip balm in my pocket at work or even at home! I always wear a lip balm at night. Carmex being one of them. Have you ever looked at the ingredient list on your lip balms? For example the ingredient list for a lip balm from the brand ChapStick : arachidyl propionate, camphor, carnauba wax, cetyl alcohol, D&C red no. 6 barium lake, FD&C yellow no. 5 aluminum lake, fragrance, isopropyl lanolate, isopropyl myristate, lanolin, light mineral oil, methylparaben, octyldodecanol, oleyl alcohol, paraffin, phenyl trimethicone, propylparaben, titanium dioxide, white wax. Information and photo found here under the see the label section. Those are just the inactive ingredients!

original_5(1)

How about Burt Bee’s?

That has to be good right because it’s considered a natural company.

Here is the ingredient list:

Beeswax,¬†cera alba (beeswax, cire d’abeille), cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, mentha piperita (peppermint) oil, lanolin, tocopherolrosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, glycine soja (soybean) oil, canola oil (huile de colza), limonene. Information and photo found here.

Beeswax Lip Balm

Much better, but it could get better right??

Lanolin is a wax taken from sheep’s wool and is used in creams, waxes, or oils. Information on Lanolin found here. Sounds kind of gross doesn’t it?

I don’t even want to know what is in Carmex!!!

So here comes the point of this post! I’ve known Miranda since Kindergarten! That is 20 years ago! Miranda started an Etsy shop by making her own¬†homemade lip balm. I got fed up with all the nasty ingredients in products, I decided that I needed to try them out! She has quite a few high raves on her Esty site. She calls¬†her shop¬†Miranda’s Tangerine. You can find her Etsy website here. This review is going to be an honest and I’m not just going to give her a good review because I’ve known her since Kindergarten.

What Miranda says about her lip balms,¬†“These specially hand brewed NATURAL balms penetrate the sensitive skin on your lips to hydrate and soothe. Smooth out cracked and scaly skin. After a few days of using exclusively, your lips will look and feel soft without feeling the need to use over and over again.¬†It has a silky smooth texture, and penetrates your lips to keep them soft and allows them to STAY soft. No waxy fillers that just sit on top of your skin, just natural ingredients.”

A LITTLE BREAKDOWN INTO MY EXPERIENCE

Ordering

It was super easy to order. I just signed up for Esty and shopped in her shop, checked out like normal, and got a confirmation email.

Shipping

Came super fast, especially the second time I ordered. My lip balms came in a super safe bubble envelope.

Pricing

I think that the price is very reasonable for each tube only being $2. Remember this lip balm is handmade. She sometimes has promos going on as well!

Types

  • Tangerine
  • Lime
  • Eucalyptus
  • Peppermint
  • Advocacy Lip Balm (comes in 4 scents: lime, tangerine eucalyptus, mint and plain!)

Packaging

Packaging is super cute and simple!

THE EXTRA TOUCH

It was nice of Miranda to add in her business card. In case I need to order more, I will have her website. ūüôā

Ingredients
Here is where the fun part comes in! The ingredients! Remember all the nasty ingredients from the ones listed above?!?

Peppermint & Tangerine

Refer to below for my thoughts on the ingredients.

Advocacy Lip Balm Information

The cause: “Female circumcision is internationally considered a violent mutilation and violation of human rights yet the United States still forcibly cuts the foreskins off of baby boys every day without medical indication. Routine infant circumcision presents a vast list of complications during infancy and adulthood, including difficulty breastfeeding, hemorrhaging, shock, adhesion, loss of sensitivity, erectile dysfunction, even death. The list goes on. We simply believe that male, female and intersex alike have the right to a whole and natural body. His body, his choice. ” From Miranda’s Tangerine’s site here.

Some links provided on her site to learn more:

“Each tube is $2.00. Miranda’s Tangerine will donate $2.00 for every lip balm sold to Intact Minnesota. These funds are used for expo registration fees and informational materials to hand to Minnesota residents during expos and fairs through out the area.”

IMG_1503

I got mine in Peppermint.

Facebook Page
Miranda’s Tangerine also has a Facebook page. You can find it here.

My Thoughts
I love love that there are ingredients that I don’t have to be a¬†scientist¬†to know what they are!! Or use Google to search information about a certain ingredient. She also uses organic products which is also a plus such as: beeswax and virgin coconut oil. I love that the scent comes from essential oils and not weird chemical scents. It’s all natural and it feels natural unlike Carmex. The first time I opened one of these and applied it on my lips, I was in lime heaven! They all smell amazing and very refreshing! I love how they felt when applying them to my lips. They’re very smooth and very moisturizing! My lips felt amazing! They did not feel sticky at all after application. I do wish that the balmy feel¬†of it lasted longer, but my lips did feel smooth after it wore off. That just means I can enjoy applying this lovely natural lip balm again and go into lime heaven! My lips were super dry before trying these out and these helped quite a bit, especially during the winter months. This paired with my Lush lip scrub! When I would apply these lip balms during the night, my lips would feel super soft when I woke up. I definitely have one of these by my bed, my pocket at work, and one in my purse. I would have to say my favorite is lime, and tangerine comes in close second. Eucalyptus smells good as well, but it isn’t my favorite either so usually it is the last one I grab for. Peppermint is lovely as well, reminds me of those red/white swirl peppermint candies. I sent one of these along with on my US to UK box swap.

Pros

  • Natural
  • Hand-crafted
  • Moisturizing
  • Smooth feeling on the lips

Cons

  • Longevity
  • No SPF
  • The¬†seam going down the tube lifts up a tiny bit and collects fuzz, dust, etc

Overall, I am very impressed with this natural lip balm. I like what it stands for! Simple & Natural just like the business card says! Comment and let me know if you have tried these lip balms out. What do you think of the ingredients? What is your normal lip balm that you use? Comment and let me know!

Day 2: March 2014 Favorites!

Time for another favorites post! I am in shock that it is April!!! In shock! March was a fun month because I did a international box swap to the UK! As you will see some of those items made it into my March favorites! This month was also a really hard month for me. My boyfriend and I decided to part ways. It has been hard. I’m very thankful that my family and friends have been there for me. They mean the world to me!

Well let’s get into the products!!

IMG_1449

1) Sleek i-Divine Storm Palette
No surprise that this palette is in my monthly favorites! I used this palette quite a bit this month! This was my first time using anything from Sleek. I love this palette and it’s amazing colors!!! Make sure to check out my review on this palette here¬†if you want to see the lovely swatches and my FOTDs!

IMG_1450

2) Sleek Blusher in Coral
I also have been loving this blusher from Sleek. It gives such a nice color to the cheeks without it being too overpowering. I also did a review on this blusher, so make sure to check it out here.

IMG_1451

3) Katy Perry Killer Queen Perfume
I love this perfume! I got it awhile ago! I love the scent of this perfume! You can buy this perfume on Katy Perry’s¬†Official Fragrance site¬†here, and also at Sephora or Ulta. I got mine at Sephora. According the Katy Perry Fragrance’s Official site, the top notes include dark plum, wild berries and bergamot, the middle notes include red velvet flower, rainbow plumeria and natural jasmine sambac, and the bottom notes includes cashmeran, natural patchouli heart and liquid praline. I just think that this perfume smells really sweet and fruity, but also fresh and floral. The packaging is a little different because it lies on its side, but I like it because of its uniqueness. Yesterday my mom surprised me with a roller-ball in this perfume because it was on clearance at Kohls! Thanks mum! Now I have one for my purse.¬†

IMG_1454

4) Tree Hut Shea Body Butter
I got this in my Beauty Box 5 this month and I have been loving it! I got it in the scent Coconut Lime. It is super moisturizing and it does smell amazing! It is surprising to me that I like it so much, because I usually shy away from coconuts. Adding the lime to the coconut scent adds a nice touch that I think makes it perfect! This is my first Tree Hut product so I was pleasantly surprised! If you want to see what other products I got in my Beauty Box 5 check out my post here.

IMG_1452

5) Pacifica Lip Tint in Guava Berry
There is no surprise that this is in my monthly favorites! It is my go-to lip product! This lip tint is well on its way to becoming a holy grail! Actually, it is already a holy grail! I did get more colors during my recent haul, so I will be posting a full review on those sometime this month. Love these lip tints <3!

IMG_1453

Scrubs

Decided to include this scrub top in my monthly¬†favorites!¬†Whenever I work I have to wear scrubs, so I always like to get fun scrubs like this one. I did work on St. Patrick’s Day and I got a lot of comments about my scrub top from both patients and coworkers. I love Snoopy!

IMG_1462

The M&M Sisters Favorites!
You’re probably wondering….umm what does that mean? You’re probably thinking of M&M candies right now! Nope I say this because I have this thing where I name my pets with a letter M. It all started with Maddie. My parents surprised my brothers and I when I was in 9th grade with a little west highland white terrier puppy. My family has always loved that breed! I decided to name her Maddie Mae. In 2011 I decided to adopt a cat from the Humane Society. I wanted a short haired cat and that is where I found Molly. She was already named Molly. I decided to give her the¬†middle name Mae. I got my Shiba Inu Mirya in October of 2013. I decided that she also needed a M name to go along with Mae. I decided on Mirya. So now they all have the same initials MM making them the M&M sisters. Lol! Yes, I’m a dork! Anyway onto their favorites!

Mirya & Maddie always love fighting over the same toy. They go around in circles and circles playing tug a war. Here are some of the toys that they love!

IMG_1461

IMG_1456

Here are some treats that they have been loving! I know the picture is blurry, but look at Mirya’s tongue.

IMG_1458

Molly has been loving these new treats that I got for her. The first ingredient is tuna instead of chicken by product! They’re grain free and a lot more healthier for her than her normal Temptations treats(chicken by product meal is the first ingredient). She also has been loving this little mouse, well as long as Mirya doesn’t try to steal it.

IMG_1457

Movies

I went to the movie Divergent with my family, even though I didn’t finish the book. I really liked the movie! It is definitely out there and a little different. Not a movie my grandmother would like, but all in all I loved it! I of course got Catching Fire and Frozen on blue-ray. I love the movie Frozen, like a lot of people lol! I wonder how much Disney made off of this movie?!? My niece is super active and she even sits and watches this movie from start to finish. She is 2 years old and also claps at the end. My older niece who is going to be 6 loves this movie as well and is going to have a Frozen themed birthday party in April. My sister in law said that they always sing the songs. My older niece would sing, “Arendelle is in deep deep” and the younger niece finished with “snow.” I was also excited for the Catching Fire release because I read the Hunger Games books and love the movies.

IMG_1455

TV Shows
I started watching the show Resurrection on ABC. It is a really different show than what I am used to, but it definitely keeps my interest.
I of course have been loving my ABC Family shows, especially Switched at Birth. Although, I’m upset with ABC Family for changing their viewing options. (Have to link with cable provider on abcfamily.com or on Hulu to watch!) They have hardly any provider options so that is even more annyoing! Sorry for my little rant!
Once Upon a Time In Wonderland is one of my favorite shows! I heard that this show was canceled! ABC always does this to me! They canceled, Off the Map after a huge cliffhanger! I think that show is way better than Grey’s Anatomy. Seems like shows that I end up really liking they end up canceling! Sad I won’t get to see more of Alice and Cyrus.

Books

I’m doing horrible at the New Years Resolution on reading more. Sad to say I didn’t read a full book this month! I am still working on reading, “Divergent.” Now after seeing the movie, I want to read all the books, because I want to see what happens!!!

Hope that you enjoyed this monthly favorites! Let me know if you have tried any of these products! Also, have you watched any of these movies or these shows? What books have you read this month?

TAG: Best of Beauty 2013

So I recently watched a YouTube video on this tag and I thought that it was a cool tag to do with the year coming to an end. I have done a few tags here and there and I have to say that I do love doing them. With tags I can go see what other bloggers wrote about the same questions that I answered, and I find that interesting.  Some other tags that I have done is the perfect palette tag, the wintery tag, and a get to know me tag and I do have a few more that I have on my list to do. I am also hoping that some day I can create my own clever tag.

So I will admit that I did buy a lot of beauty products in the year 2013 and I just thought this tag was a perfect way to share some of my favorite products from certain categories with you!

DSC01468

1. Primer

The Balm Shelter Tinted Moisturizer

I honestly don’t really use primer. So I switched this category up a little and I am sharing with you my favorite tinted moisturizer. I recently got the Balm Shelter from The Balm cosmetics and I love it! It has a good amount of coverage for a tinted moisturizer and leaves the face feeling moisturized and refreshed. Also it doesn’t feel like I have any makeup on. I got mine in the color light. I normally would have gone for light/medium but this product does oxidize some meaning it does turn darker in color with time. ¬†The Balm always does amazing with packaging.

DSC01469

2. Foundation

Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation

I got this foundation earlier this year. I honestly don’t wear much foundation so I am not that educated on it. But, when I do want more coverage I use this foundation. It is easy to apply. I use the brush that Tarte sells to accompany it. I have the color light beige and it works perfect for me. I also love that Tarte products are more natural.

DSC01499

3. Concealer

Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle

Well if you know me you may know that I suffer from dark circles. I call them my panda eyes. I do love panda bears, I just don’t want to share their eyes. Anyway, I am still on my search for the perfect concealer. I do have quite a few concealers, but I always seem to go back to this one because it is easy to apply and it does give me a good amount of coverage. I recently got the Balm’s ¬†TimeBalm concealer. I have not used it enough to have a good enough opinion on it quite yet.

DSC01478

4. Powder

bareMinerals Mineral Veil

I don’t use very much powder ever, but I got this as a sample. I really do like this powder. It is easy to apply and gives me the airbrushed look. I don’t use it for absorbing any oils because I have dry skin.

DSC01483

5. Bronzer

PurMinerals Untamed Glamour Leapoard Print Mineral Glow

This bronzer actually comes in a 3 piece set. I did have review on it not to long ago so if you’re interested check it out. This bronzer is a nice color and it’s not too dark like a lot of bronzers out there. The packaging is also super high quality! Very sturdy!

DSC01475 DSC01474 DSC01229

6. Blush

Benefit’s Rockateur Box O’ Powder

I love this blush! I am always grabbing for this blush. It’s a gorgeous rose gold color and it has been featured in a monthly favorites post too! I think that the color is a nice, has good color payoff, and is very blendable.

DSC01489 DSC01488 DSC01091

7. Highlighter

Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter, Shadow, & Shimmer

When I wear highlighter I always grab for this one. It is perfect for a night out! I don’t have that many highlighters, but I do have some. This highlighter is super pigmented, so a light brush will do. It also can be used as an eye shadow.

DSC01473 IMG_0247 IMG_0249

8. Brow

I don’t use anything for my brows. But, I do think that if I did I would check out the brand Anastasia. They’re known for their brow products.

http://www.anastasia.net/brows/

9. Eye Shadow Palette

Urban Decay Vice 2

I love this palette. In the perfect palette tag I said it was my desert island palette and it still is. I just love the array of colors and finishes. I am a person that loves playing with all sorts of colors. This palette has both neutrals and colorful shadows. If I could go back in time I would buy this palette again!

10. Eye Liner

Urban Decay  24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils

This is the first high end eyeliners I ever tried and I do love them. They are creamy and super easy to apply. I got a bunch of mini ones in a set awhile back. I have tried other high end ones since then and I still have to say these are my favorite.

11. Mascara

Flower Beauty Zoom-In Ultimate Mascara in Intense Black

Flower Beauty is a company that was started by Drew Barrymore. I decided to try her mascara because I thought it was intriguing with how the brush works. Basically when I use it I apply 3 coats. With each coat I turn the knob on top like in the picture and it changes the wand. This mascara is considered a 3 in 1 twist because it gives length, curl, and volume.  I just think that Drew Barrymore was amazingly smart for thinking of this mascara. I plan on doing a Brand Spotlight on this company so stay tuned for that.

12. Lip Pencil

I don’t ever use lip pencils. The only lip pencil I have I got from an Ispy bag which I haven’t really tried yet.

13. Lipstick

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in the color Strip

Urban Decay came out with these lipsticks earlier this year. I have 2 of them, but this color Strip is my favorite. I felt like it was a perfect Fall shade and I liked how it looked on my lips. The application is easy and the formula is creamy. It does need to be re-applied throughout the day, but I feel like most lipsticks do anyway with eating and drinking. This color is a urbandecay.com exclusive.

14. Lip Gloss

Flower Beauty Shine On Lipgloss in My Little Buttercup

This lip gloss is from the same company as the mascara which is Flower Beauty. I really like the formula of this. It isn’t sticky at all. I hate those super sticky lip glosses! They also have really good color payoff. I do have another color from this lip gloss line, but I will show you that in my brand spotlight post coming up.

15. Beauty Subscription

Ipsy…beauty by you

I love getting my Ipsy bag each month. It costs $10 a month which I think is super reasonable for the amount of products included. I did have BirchBox before, but I canceled it because I felt like Ipsy was way better and I didn’t need to have both services. Right now the subscription services that I have are Ipsy, NatureBox, BarkBox, Fortune Cookie Soap, and Julep.

I thought this tag needed a few more so I added 2 more categories.

16. Perfume

Meow by Katy Perry

I love this perfume. I got it awhile back along with the Purr perfume by Katy Perry. I got it for quite a reasonable price so that is why I decided to get both. I love using Meow for during the day and Purr for the night. I do like Meow a little better though, but still do love Purr. The packaging is adorable! I do like Katy Perry. I think she is awesome at making pop songs. I think that this scent smells very girly so if you’re not into that you probably won’t like it. But, I did list the notes found on her site down below. The scent is soft, musky, and fruity and isn’t overpowering. I do wish that is lasted a little bit longer, but all in all I still do love this perfume and I always grab for it! Comment if you want me to share my perfume collection.

TOP NOTES
Tangerine, Pear and Gardenia
MIDDLE NOTES
Honeysuckle, Lily of the Valley and Orange Blossoms

17. Lip balm/chap-stick

Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched & EOS Lip Balms

I always use lip balm and chap-stick way more then I use lip stick or lip gloss. My lips always get super chapped and I love using both these products because they’re both moisturizing, feel good on the lips, and they smell good too!

18. Eye Shadow Brush

Sigma E55 Eye Shading

My favorite eye shadow brushes are Sigma brushes. Every time I go to Mall of America I always stop in the Sigma store and get myself a new brush. This is the E55 which is perfect for placing shadow on the eyelid. I love eye shadow and creating looks and I feel that in order to get the look I want I need quality brushes. I will post more information on my thoughts on makeup brushes someday.

One last thing…in school teachers always said that the excuse, “my dog ate my homework” wasn’t a valid excuse. I have to disagree with that because Mirya my shiba inu loves paper! I’m not saying I ever had to use that excuse in school, I was always a good student. It was just a silly thought! Hope you all had a great Christmas or Holiday and hope you have a great New Years!
